Medal of Honor - Multiplayer Accolades Trailer
Check out the accolades the Medal of Honor multiplayer mode is receiving. Tactics: Sprinting is a great way to dash from one piece of cover to the next. But avoid sprinting in areas where you’re likely to encounter enemies. In the short time it takes to stop and raise your weapon, your opponent can aim, open fire, and take you out. So keep you weapon raised and ready to fire, particularly when operating in cramped urban environments.

On most Combat Mission maps, the coalition team has access to an M3 Cavalry Fighting Vehicle. Use this light tank’s auto cannon and machine gun to suppress the enemy from long range. Driving it directly into large groups of infantry only makes it a juicy target for special ops troops carrying RPGs and IED-tossing snipers. So hold back and saturate the area around an objective with heavy fire to clear a path for your teammates. The M3’s auto cannon is perfect for taking out stationary weapons too.

In Sector Control the team that actually defends their flags has the best chance of pulling off a win. So instead of running in circles, dashing from one flag to the next, capture a sector and hold it. If you’re playing an organized match, divide your team into three squads: Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie. Each squad is responsible for attacking and defending the corresponding sector throughout the match. This keeps your team focused while allowing them to become experts in attacking and defending their assigned sector.

Never underestimate the effectiveness of smoke grenades carried by the rifleman class. These are particularly useful when attempting to plant or disarm a charge during Combat Mission and Objective Raid matches. Toss a smoke grenade at the objective to provide concealment while you or a teammate sets or disarms the charge. Objectives are always camped by opponents so smoke is vital for obscuring their vision during these tense moments. Also, while interacting with an objective, you can still aim and fire your weapon. So don’t go down without a fight!

Slugs, a red dot sight, and a laser sight can turn any shotgun into a formidable intermediate-range weapon. But always aim through the red dot sight before squeezing the trigger. This helps snap your sight onto your target, helping ensure a hit. And with slugs, all it takes is one hit to drop your target. The shotgun is far less effective at long range, but you can still inflict less-than-lethal damage, assuming you can score a hit.

The UAV is one of the most valuable support actions available. Not only does it reward you with 30 points just for activating it, but it also reveals the positions of your opponents on the minimap for 30 seconds. Like all defensive support actions, this intel is shared with the rest of your team, giving you the opportunity to hunt down your opponents wherever they’re hiding. Enemy UAVs cannot be shot down but they can be countered by activating the Jammer support action, available at scorechain level 5. This blacks-out your opponents’ minimaps, allowing your team to operate undetected for 30 seconds.

Although suppressors reduce the range and damage of your weapon, they make you much tougher to detect, potentially increasing your life span. A suppressor not only makes your weapon quieter, but it also reduces muzzle flash, making it easier to remain concealed. Also while firing a suppressed weapon, you don’t show up on your enemy’s minimap.

Carefully weigh the pros and cons before initiating an offensive support action over a defensive one. While it’s fun to fly missiles into swarms of opponents, you may be forfeiting the easy points and benefits afforded by the defensive support actions. For example, at scorechain level 4, you can choose between an artillery strike or FMJ ammo for your whole team. Choosing FMJ ammo instantly awards you 50 points and gives every living member of your team a 1.5X damage multiplier. That 50 points is then applied to your scorechain, putting you closer to level 5. While it’s possible to score 50 points or more with an artillery strike, you’ll need to find a large concentration of enemies to pull it off…and hope you don’t get sniped while peering through your binoculars.

When playing as the coalition team on Combat Mission maps you can choose to spawn on a teammate or at your team’s base. Spawning on a teammate usually puts you closer to the objective. This is a good way to apply consistent pressure against an area. While in the spawn screen the camera tracks the teammate you’re set to spawn on. So pay close attention before making your spawn choice. If you spawn on a teammate that is exposed to enemy fire, you’ll also come under fire as soon as you enter the game, potentially leading to a quick trip right back to the spawn screen. Sometimes it’s safer to just spawn back at your base, even if you do have a long hike ahead of you.

Exercise extreme caution when initiating offensive support actions. The binoculars are equipped with a range finder, marking the distance in meters between you and your designated target. Make sure this number exceeds the blast radius of your selected offensive support action. For example, the cruise missile has a blast radius of 40 meters. So make sure you’re more than 40 meters away from your target before initiating this devastating attack.  If a "Danger Close” warning flashes across the binoculars, it means you may take damage during the strike.

For more tactics and team strategies, the complete strategy guide releasing on October 12th will be available in print and digital formats here. It provides everything you need to achieve Tier 1 status, including labeled maps for all game modes as well as details on each class, weapon, and support action.
